About Dr. Jung
Dr. Jung studied biochemistry at the University of Illinois and attended the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. He completed a family medicine residency at North Colorado Family Medicine in Greeley, Colorado, affiliated with the University of Colorado. He joined a group family practice in Barbourville, Kentucky in 1991.
In 1999 he moved to Corbin to help with a rural residency training program sponsored by the University of Kentucky and the Baptist Regional Medical Center. He served as Medical Director of a private group practice and as Chief of Staff of Knox County Hospital. He was a co-founder and past chairman of Grace Community Health Center, and he served as a faculty member for a rural family medicine residency program.
He opened The Doc Shoppe in January 2013. The practice limits its patient panel size on purpose so members get extended time with the physician. His professional interests include minor operative procedures, ultrasonography and computerized medical records.
He loves taking care of children. He has taken part in short-term medical mission trips to Mexico and Romania. He enjoys woodworking, auto repair, reading and softball.

Additional services are priced individually and posted.
