Dr. Barbara Wolock, MD

About Dr. Wolock

Dr. Wolock is a Kansas City area native and has practiced medicine in the area since 1991. She graduated summa cum laude from Colgate University and earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She spent one year as an internal medicine resident at the University of Virginia and then completed an ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

She is a general ophthalmologist with a surgical focus on cataract removal, and she has been with Grin Eye Care since 1998. She is trained in manual small incision cataract surgery, a cataract procedure adapted for the developing world. She has taken part in medical missions, performing cataract surgery in Vietnam with the Medical Missions Foundation, in Ghana in June 2013 and in Honduras in spring 2016.

She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies.
