About Dr. Eichenberger
Dr. Eichenberger is a New Albany native. He holds board certification in adult internal medicine and in pediatrics. He earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Indiana University and his M.D. from the University of Louisville.
He completed residency training at the University of Louisville and earned an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. His career began in 1978 at Floyd Memorial Hospital, where he first worked in Environmental Services. He was the original founder of Physicians Associates of Floyds Knobs. That group is now Baptist Health Medical Group Family Medicine.
In October 2015, he was named president and CEO of the hospital, which was Floyd Memorial and later became Baptist Health Floyd. He led Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services through its merger with Baptist Health. He served as president of Baptist Health Floyd for four years.
He returned to private practice, joining Dr. Mark Bickers and Dr. Christina Minrath to start Concierge Care of Southern Indiana. The practice aims to limit insurance involvement.
