About Dr. Levy

Dr. Ari Levy, MD, is the founder and CEO of Shift, a concierge primary care practice in Chicago. He earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University and his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds an active Illinois medical license.

Before founding Shift, Dr. Levy redesigned the clinical practice of the University of Chicago's Program for Personalized Health & Prevention. He served as a team physician for the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks as the team won the Stanley Cup three times, and he co-founded and built Engaged Health Solutions, a company delivering custom health and well-being coaching, training and education to coaches and employee populations.

Crain's Chicago Business named him to its "40 Under 40" list in a February 2018 feature. He is a regular contributor to publications including Crain's, Forbes, Becker's Healthcare, Men's Health, Chicago Magazine and Barron's, and appeared as a guest on the Executives' Club of Chicago's podcast in 2024. He speaks English, Hebrew and Spanish.
