About Dr. Pai-Verma

Dr. Pai-Verma earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College and completed an internal medicine residency at Pennsylvania Hospital. She is board certified in internal medicine and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2015. She joined Rush University Medical Center in 2009 as clinical faculty, served as medical director of Internal Medicine there, and continued on the faculty until 2019.

She founded and leads Ideal Health Chicago, a direct primary care practice in Lincoln Park. Her approach centers on a personal profile of each patient and an individualized care plan blending evidence-based, multi-modal disease management with an integrative approach. Her clinical focus includes cancer prevention and screening and chronic illness management. "My philosophy of patient care is being proactive rather than retroactive," she has said.

She was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Internal Medicine for the Chicago area starting in 2023, and earlier received a Certificate of Recognition for a resident teaching program from Loyola University's Stritch School of Medicine in 2005 and 2006. A Chicago resident, she volunteers with charities locally and abroad, and enjoys reading, art, cooking, travel and exercise.
