About Dr. Ryan
Dr. Ryan grew up in Ireland and graduated from Trinity College Dublin Medical School in 1999. She worked in primary care in Ireland for a few years before moving to the western suburbs of Chicago. She completed her family medicine residency at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital.
She then spent 8 years in private practice that billed insurance. Dr. Ryan opened Cara Direct Care in 2017 after switching to direct primary care. She is its founder and medical director.

Membership at Cara Direct Care is $80 a month for adults aged 18 to 44, $105 for ages 45 to 64 and $130 for ages 65 and older.
Children aged 0 to 5 are $60 a month and children aged 6 to 18 are $50 a month when a paying adult family member is a member.
Employers with 5 or more employees pay $80 per employee each month with no enrollment fee.
A registration fee of $100 per person, or $200 per family, is added to the first monthly payment.
Re-enrolling after cancellation costs $300 unless the membership is reinstated within 3 months.
The membership covers cancer screenings, smoking cessation, weight loss and nutrition counseling, annual physicals, urgent care sick visits, in-office lab tests such as urinalysis and rapid strep, chronic disease management and skin biopsies.
