Dr. Aleea Gupta, MD

About Dr. Gupta

Dr. Gupta earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Florida. She completed a family medicine residency at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey, a Columbia University affiliate, where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Gupta has worked as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the University of Southern California and as a partner physician with Southern California Permanente Medical Group. She also served as medical director of Cleaver Family Wellness Clinic in California and as a staff physician at the Family Health Center of Plainfield and at Doctors Immediate Care in Lombard, Illinois.

In 2018, Dr. Gupta learned about the direct primary care model from a colleague and opened Family First Direct Primary Care, the first DPC practice in her county. She used in-person and social media marketing to fill her direct primary care practice over about three years. She has lectured to future physician groups about direct primary care, in person and virtually, and co-presented a continuing medical education webinar for the Illinois State Medical Society on the topic with Dr. Clodagh Ryan of Cara Direct Care. Dr. Gupta also speaks Spanish in addition to English.
