About Dr. Mola

Dr. Loret De Mola is Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He founded the SIU Fertility and IVF Center and is its Medical Director. He is Medical Director of the Women's Health Programs at HSHS St. John's Hospital.

His clinical and research interests are in couples with infertility and women with endometriosis. His clinical work covers complex surgical disorders that need advanced minimally invasive and robotic procedures. He earned his medical degree at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in 1988.

He finished an internship in internal medicine at Temple University/St. Luke's Program, a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Case Western Reserve University, and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Earlier, he was Chief of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility division at MacDonald Women's Hospital of Case Western Reserve University from 2000 to 2007.
