About Dr. Bulun

Dr. Bulun earned his medical degree at Istanbul University School of Medicine in 1983. He completed a pathology residency at Arizona College of Medicine in 1987, an Ob/Gyn internship at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988 and an Ob/Gyn residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1991. He then completed a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1993.

He has been Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine since 2012. He is a tenured professor at Northwestern Medicine Center for Fertility and Reproductive Medicine. He directs Northwestern's Uterine Leiomyoma Research Center, which advanced uterine fibroid research.

He and his team have received research funding from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to study uterine fibroids.
