About Dr. Phillips

Dr. Phillips earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 2010. She completed a family medicine residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina, including a global health track, and graduated with honors. She was Medical Director for two VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics, in Princeton, West Virginia and Athens, Georgia.

She co-founded Front Porch Family Medicine in 2022. She pursued advanced training under Dr. Craig Koniver in performance medicine, peptides, IV nutrition, and integrative and functional medicine. Front Porch Family Medicine is a direct primary care practice. It is not health insurance and does not replace health insurance.

The practice keeps fewer patient panels, which means longer visits and greater access. Dr. Phillips told the My DPC Story podcast that she went to medical school so she could sit on patients' front porches and get to know them. She has served at the Baptist Hospital in Ghana and has led and joined international mission trips.

In her spare time she enjoys quilting, knitting and front porch sitting.
