About Dr. McLeod
Dr. McLeod was born in Savannah and grew up in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He began his medical career as a pediatric cardiac intensive care nurse before medical school. He graduated from Emory University and earned his Doctor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine, graduating with honors.
He trained in general surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and earned a Master of Public Health there. He completed combined training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery. His fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery was at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he previously served as clinical faculty with Harvard Medical School.
His training included an emphasis on facial aesthetics, breast surgery and surgery for chronic headaches. He joined Savannah Plastic Surgery in 2020 and later founded Seaport Plastic Surgery.
