About Dr. Sparks

Dr. Sparks is a board-certified family physician who provides primary care through the Direct Primary Care model at SparksMD Family Medicine in Sanford, Florida. He founded the practice to restore continuity, physician accessibility and personalized family medicine for patients and families across Central Florida. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Central Florida and attended Ross University School of Medicine, graduating with high honors.

He completed a family medicine residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida, and served as Chief Resident. During residency he developed a strong interest in point-of-care ultrasound and musculoskeletal medicine. He embraced the Direct Primary Care model early in his career.

Without many of the barriers of insurance-based medicine, he focuses on continuity of care and gives patients more time and direct access to him. He regularly teaches pre-medical students, medical students and family medicine residents, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
