About Dr. Truty
Dr. Truty is board certified in family medicine and in sports medicine, both by the American Board of Family Medicine. She earned her medical degree at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Illinois and completed her family medicine residency at the Rush University Family Medicine Program in Chicago. She completed the Phoebe Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program in Georgia and a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.
She also trained in acupuncture through the UCLA-Helms acupuncture certification for physicians. Dr. Truty started Balanced Physician Care, P.A., and is affiliated with Baptist Medical Center Beaches. Earlier in her career she served as Integrative Medicine Director at Presence Health St. Joseph Hospital and was faculty at the St Joseph-Presence Family Practice Residency program in Chicago.
She was the primary care team physician for the Chicago Red Stars women's professional soccer team in 2009-2010 and has covered the Chicago Marathon as a physician. She believes there is no substitute for being seen by a physician with extensive experience who knows you well.
Membership and fees
Memberships at Balanced Physician Care start at $49 a month, and the Basic plan is for people 61 and younger.
The Basic plan includes direct access to the office by phone, email or text, an annual physical with EKG, an annual Pap test and 24/7/365 medical care.
