About Dr. Burton
Dr. Burton founded Healthy Home Pediatrics in 2019, a direct primary care pediatric practice in Washington, DC that offers house calls and in-office visits. She earned her MD from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2012, after a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary human biology from the University of Virginia and a master's in public health in health promotion from Columbia University, and she completed her pediatrics residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals.
Dr. Burton was named to Washingtonian magazine's Top Doctors list for 2021. She writes under the pen name "Mommabee" and was profiled in a 2019 neighborhood newspaper feature that described her as visiting patients at home and practicing telemedicine. She moved into direct primary care after experiencing burnout in traditional pediatric practice.
