About Shara Hansen

Shara Hansen is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Altitude Family & Internal Medicine in Littleton, Colorado. She earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and her master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado. She began her clinical career in private practice in Denver. Her path led to Take Care Health, where she advanced into executive leadership. Following its integration with Walgreens Healthcare, she played a key role in building and scaling models of workplace and retail health.

Hansen co-founded Altitude Family & Internal Medicine, where she now serves as Executive Vice-Chair. She also currently serves as Director of the Altitude Health Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing primary care, education, and community health. She has championed initiatives to strengthen care coordination, improve patient engagement, and elevate quality across the practice. She has advanced training in several areas: executive leadership, medical aesthetics, acupuncture, bio-identical hormone therapy, anti-aging medicine, and clinical nutrition. In her free time, she stays active with activities such as snowboarding, snowshoeing, swimming, running, biking, and hiking.
