About Dr. Marokus

Asa Marokus, MD, is a psychiatrist at LoHi Psychiatry in Denver, Colorado. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College, graduating magna cum laude and earning election to Phi Beta Kappa, then earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Marokus completed a general psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado, a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry there, and four years of psychoanalytic training at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis.

He has been in private practice in Denver since 2011, providing child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, and medication management. He focuses clinically on ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, school and work performance, life transitions, and long-term personal growth. His office is in the Lower Highlands (LoHi) neighborhood of Denver.

After college, Dr. Marokus had a career in finance, including investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York and private equity roles at Hellman & Friedman in San Francisco and a firm in Sydney. At Dartmouth, he played soccer, earning First Team All-Ivy honors and reaching the NCAA quarterfinals, and later played professionally for one season.
