About Dr. Dev

Dr. Dev is a plastic surgeon in Bakersfield, California, and has served as an owner of the California Institute of Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 1996 and completed a surgery residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield from 1996 to 2002. He has authored or co-authored over 30 publications in general, reconstructive and plastic surgery, as well as aesthetic techniques, including a 2006 study on low fistula rates in palatal clefts closed with the Furlow technique, published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Dev has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HealtheUniverse (HLUN), a publicly traded regenerative medicine and stem cell research firm, as Wound Center Medical Director of Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, and as Medical Director of Physicians Care of California. He has also been a member of the Hoag Hospital Medical Staff in Newport Beach, California. At least 2 research papers he co-authored are indexed in PubMed, including a 2000 study on tonsillar lipoma.

He has provided medical expertise to members of the U.S. armed forces who returned from Iraq with serious injuries, and he has donated many hours to his local community through fundraisers and pro bono surgeries for patients who could not otherwise afford them. A former college football player, he enjoys working out, weightlifting, and golf outside his practice.
