Dr. Jeffrey Wong, MD

About Dr. Wong

Dr. Wong earned a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. He earned his medical degree at UC Irvine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UCLA and was chief resident in his final year.

His fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery was at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He worked as a team physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and New England Revolution. He also served as a team physician for Curry College and local high schools.

During his training, he presented his research at national and international meetings. Dr. Wong is a sports medicine and shoulder surgeon at South County Orthopedic Specialists in Fountain Valley and Los Alamitos, CA. He has a special interest in minimally invasive arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow and knee, and in open reconstructive surgery of the shoulder.

His practice also covers general orthopedics. His goal is to help each patient return to the activities they enjoy.
