About Dr. Garzo
Dr. Garzo earned his medical degree at the University of Chile and a master's degree at the University of Toronto. He completed a rotating internship at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, and served as a resident in general surgery there. He then completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Toronto General Hospital.
He spent two years on research in ovarian physiology in Toronto. His fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility was at the University of California, San Diego. After his fellowship, he directed the in vitro fertilization laboratory at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla.
In 1991 he joined the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care in Redondo Beach. In 1998 he co-founded Reproductive Partners Fertility Center in San Diego with Dr. David Meldrum. Outside work, he enjoys singing, playing the guitar, dancing the Argentine Tango and listening to many types of music.
