About Dr. Dao
He earned a biochemistry degree with a minor in visual arts at the University of California at San Diego. He received his osteopathic degree in 1992 from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He did his internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin Family Medicine Program and his residency at the University of Hawaii Family Medicine Program.
He has served as Medical Director for the World Surf League's Hawaii Triple Crown of Surfing for 22 years. He has cared for touring professional surf athletes in Australia, Japan, Tahiti, South Africa, California, France, Ireland and Mexico. His care combines sports medicine with osteopathic manipulation.
