About Dr. Boston

Dr. Boston practices at The Akasha Center for Integrative Medicine. She is a board-certified physiatrist. She completed medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Her work covers primary care and women's health, plus sports medicine and pain management. She takes time to look at each patient's physical, nutritional, emotional and hormonal health. A first visit starts with learning about the patient's life journey and any road blocks in the way of optimal health.

She works on the mind-body connection so patients can take the driver's seat in their own healing. Her areas of focus include bioidentical hormone therapy, testosterone replacement therapy, prolotherapy, trigger point injections and kinesiology taping. Her physical examinations include orthopedic tests, and she orders targeted blood work as needed.

She helps patients figure out their needs in diet, exercise, hydration, supplements and sleep. She looks for problems with hormones, adrenal function, nutrition and gut function when symptoms in those areas get in the way of wellness. Her patients include teenagers and adults.
