About Sophia Au-Stenger

Sophia Au-Stenger is a board-certified physician assistant providing dermatology care at the Center for Dermatology & Plastic Surgery in Scottsdale, Arizona. She did her undergraduate studies at Mount Union University in Alliance, Ohio. She earned a Master's in Medical Science and PA Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit, training clinically at Henry Ford Hospital and Detroit Medical Center, along with VA facilities.

Au-Stenger spent years in Detroit practicing dermatology, with hospital privileges at St. John Macomb, and performed research as an investigator in clinical trials for skin care treatments. She moved to Arizona in 2010. She treats both medical and cosmetic dermatology conditions in adults and children, performing procedures such as wart removal, skin scrapings, biopsies, Botox, and dermal fillers.

She is an active member of the Arizona Dermatology Physician Assistant Society, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and has served as a preceptor to physician assistant programs. She speaks Cantonese and some Spanish. Outside work, her hobbies include hiking, traveling, crafting, cooking, jewelry making, and fitness, and she also enjoys watching sports.
