Kelsey Symone Wilson

About Kelsey Symone Wilson

Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stillman College and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A&M University. Her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision is from North Dakota State University, where she was the first African American woman to earn that degree.

She has worked in community mental health, pastoral counseling and forensic settings. She previously worked for the Alabama Department of Mental Health. During doctoral training she worked as a clinical intern in a church counseling center.

She joined Lifecare Wellness Counseling. Her clinical work includes individual, group, family and legal-issue counseling. She uses evidence-based approaches for neuroplasticity during treatment and after discharge.

She is certified in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and emergency medicine. She enjoys cooking homemade recipes and spending time with loved ones.
