Dr. Hardgrove earned his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville. He did an internal medicine internship at PRISMA Health Upstate, Greenville Memorial Hospital, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte. His fellowship in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine was with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem.
During that fellowship he completed more than 1000 fluoroscopically-guided injections and took part in research on predicting lumbar radiofrequency ablation outcomes. He specializes in non-operative care for neck and back problems, including fluoroscopically-guided injections. He works with Proliance spine surgeons to arrange surgical consultations if symptoms continue after conservative measures are exhausted.
His approach is patient-centered, and he builds treatment plans around each patient to manage symptoms and improve quality of life. He wants patients to keep moving, whether the goal is sports or staying independent.
