Dr. Amaryllis J. Scott, M.D.

About Dr. Scott

Dr. Scott earned her medical degree at New York Medical College. She completed an internship and an orthopedic residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. She completed fellowships in reconstructive shoulder surgery in New York City and in sports medicine at the University of Utah.

She is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. She was first certified in July 2000 and renews her certification every ten years. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Scott is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and a shoulder and knee specialist. She treats all types of shoulder and knee problems, from simple sprains to severe shoulder arthritis and complex knee ligament ruptures. Her surgical work includes arthroscopy and knee ligament reconstruction.

It also includes rotator cuff repair, total shoulder replacement and osteochondral transplants for knee cartilage defects. She focuses on sports injuries and total knee replacement.
