Ashvin Vijayakumar, MD

Ashvin Vijayakumar, MD (Dr. Ash) is a board-certified internal medicine physician and the founder of Fishtown Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (2014-2017) and earned his Master of Science in Healthcare Delivery Leadership from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (SCL, 2019).

Before founding Fishtown Medicine, Dr. Ash served as a Board-Elected Medical Director and Partner at Oak Street Health, where he led multidisciplinary clinical teams caring for medically complex older adults across Philadelphia, and cared for patients nationwide through Galileo Health. He was named a 2026 Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctor in Internal Medicine and the 2026 Philadelphia Inquirer Philly Favorites Winner for Primary Care. Dr. Ash holds active medical licenses across 40 states so members stay seamlessly covered at home and while traveling.

Fishtown Medicine is a personal primary care and longevity practice in Philadelphia led by board-certified internist Ashvin Vijayakumar, MD (Dr. Ash). By capping the practice at 200 adult members and working directly for patients rather than insurance companies, we replace rushed 15-minute assembly-line visits with 30 to 90 minute appointments, same-day or next-day scheduling, direct physician messaging, and doorstep home visits across Greater Philadelphia.
