About Melody Hartzler

Hartzler is a clinical pharmacist, not a physician. She has focused her career on diabetes and takes an integrative approach to diabetes care. She works through collaborative practice, managing medications and ordering labs, and brings a holistic approach to care.

Hartzler earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy. She completed residency training at Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center. She is board certified in advanced diabetes management and is a certified pump trainer.

She completed Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice from the Institute of Functional Medicine. Her focus areas include functional gastrointestinal disorders, nutritional deficiencies, women's hormone balance, cardiometabolic risk reduction, low thyroid function and autoimmune conditions. She owns PharmToTable.

She is a member of A4M and completed its Fellowship of Anti-Aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine.
