Dr. Bergh earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. His fellowship in reproductive endocrinology was at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Radiology was his initial area of practice before he entered reproductive endocrinology. He is a Founding Partner of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey and a Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His areas of specialty include diminished ovarian reserve, assessing embryonic competence, recurrent miscarriages and third party reproduction.
