Dr. Vidya Aluri, MD

About Dr. Aluri

Dr. Aluri is board certified in endocrinology and internal medicine, and she is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She also holds diplomate status in lipidology and obesity medicine. She earned her MD and completed an internal medicine internship at Rangaraya Medical College.

She completed an internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York. She also worked as an attending in internal medicine there and completed a master's in clinical investigation at the University of Rochester. In 2017 she completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the University of Iowa.

She served Cedar Rapids and nearby communities as an endocrinologist with Unity Point Clinic until summer 2023. She opened her own practice, Liberty Endocrinology, in Coralville, Iowa. She is also an independent provider at the University of Iowa Health Care Coralville location.

She treats general endocrine conditions, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Her practice is built around direct care, with real-time physician feedback and individualized care. She offers care through in-person visits and telehealth.

She teaches patients at every step of therapy so they can make informed decisions.
