About Katie Gardetto

Katie Gardetto is a nurse practitioner, not a physician, and holds the credentials MSN and FNP-C. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has advanced training in functional and herbal medicine.

She completed extensive training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). She has spent years studying and applying herbal medicine, blending evidence-based conventional care with personalized, systems-based approaches. Her clinical interests include bladder pain syndrome, embedded bladder infections, recurrent genitourinary infections, immune system dysregulation, gastrointestinal disorders and hormone imbalances.

Initial primary care visits are 30 minutes and include a thorough intake, lab work orders, preventative screening coordination and a plan of care. She offers a short meet and greet appointment to get to know her approach, and no medical advice is given in it. She believes true wellness comes from understanding how the body is connected and from giving patients tools and knowledge.

She enjoys surfing, camping, travel, trying new foods, gardening and hiking. Insurance accepted includes HMSA Quest, HMSA PPO, UHA and United Healthcare (OR and HI). Patients who have Medicare in addition to another plan cannot be billed through insurance, so a cash-pay visit with a superbill to submit to their insurer is offered.
