About Alison Lieberman

Alison Lieberman is a licensed clinical psychologist in Colorado. She completed an undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Vermont. She earned a Master of Arts and a PsyD from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology.

Her predoctoral internship in behavioral medicine was at the Miami VA Medical Center, and she did postdoctoral training at NYC Health and Hospitals Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. Lieberman has worked at Denver Health since 2005, including as an oncology clinic psychologist. She is also an instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, in the Department of Family Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry.

She has been a clinical supervisor, mentor and instructor for medical residents and psychology trainees. Her career has focused on the intersection of physical and mental health. Her recent clinical experience includes oncology, chronic medical conditions and palliative care.

She uses a trauma-informed lens with behavioral and interpersonal approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness-based interventions. She works to help people build emotional wellness, resilience and empowerment, and she values a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to care.
