About Amy Supernaw

Amy Supernaw holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Point Loma Nazarene University, where she majored in athletic training. That background led her to work in physical therapy before attending physician assistant school. She earned her PA master's degree at Loma Linda University, graduating with honors, and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

After completing her PA studies, Supernaw worked at Planned Parenthood for four years, focusing on women's health and educating patients on reproductive and contraceptive methods. She is a member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network, which she joined on July 1, 2020. At Perlman Clinic she continues to focus on women's health and has expanded her scope of practice to all disciplines of family medicine, and the clinic lists self-pay pricing for patients without insurance, with the cost of procedures in addition to the consultation fee.

Supernaw speaks English with patients. Outside work, she enjoys hiking, going to the gym, biking, and paddle boarding.
