"Dr. Carter graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1996 and received her medical degree from the U.T. Southwestern School of Medicine in 2001. After devoting a year teaching public health while establishing a medical clinic in Peru, Dr. Carter completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital, University of Texas Southwestern. She received her board certification in Internal Medicine in 2005 and joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in the Internal Medicine Dept. In 2006 she joined the esteemed internal medicine group, the Harvill-Tschumy Clinic at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Dr. Carter joined the E. Barrow Medical Group in October 2011."
