Holly Sparks, DO

"Dr. Holly Sparks is a board-certified pediatrician.  After graduating from NOVA Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, she completed her pediatric residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.  One month after completing residency, she married her medical school sweetheart, Andrew, and moved to San Diego, California for a few years while he completed his time of service in the United States Navy.  

Dr. Sparks has had 15 years of experience in both outpatient pediatric clinical setting as well as in pediatric urgent care.  However, becoming a mother to three children as affected her practice as much, if not more, than her clinical experience.  She and her family moved and settled in Franklin, TN in 2015, when Dr. Sparks started working at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in their After Hours Clinics.

While she enjoys working for Vanderbilt, urgent care is not her passion.  She chose to become a pediatrician because she loves children and wanted to be able to invest in them from birth through adolescence.  To her, the ultimate compliment would be for one of her former patients to become a parent and choose her as their child’s pediatrician.
