Elizabeth Fagan, MD

"Dr. Fagan earned her AB from Harvard College and completed her post-baccalaureate pre-medical coursework at Barnard College and Columbia University.  Dr. Fagan graduated from Jefferson Medical College with her MD in 2001. 

Dr. Fagan completed her Family Medicine residency at Overlook Hospital, where she was selected by faculty to be Chief Resident and Residency Recruitment Coordinator. Her peers also elected her President of the House Staff Association.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER:

Upon completion of Residency, Dr. Fagan worked as Faculty for Atlantic Health Systems at both Mountainside and Overlook Family Medicine Residency Programs.  After leaving Atlantic Health, Dr. Fagan became Director of the Evening Primary Care Practice at Summit Medical Group.

AWARDS:

Dr. Fagan has received recognition for her compassion and clinical expertise throughout her career.  In 2008, she received the Overlook House Staff Teaching Award which is awarded by the Residents to a faculty member for their “outstanding contribution to medical education”.  In 2011, Dr. Fagan received the Physician Recognition Award from the AMA.   She also was selected for the Patients’ Choice Award that same year.  In 2013, Dr. Fagan was selected by her patients as a New Jersey Family Magazine Favorite Kids’ Doc. 

VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:

Dr. Fagan is an active member of the Summit community.  In addition to several other local volunteer activities, Dr. Fagan has served as President of the Summit Board of Health.  She was a board member of The Connection for Women and Families and the Summit Lacrosse Club.  She was a Chairwoman of the Santa Claus Shop. Dr. Fagan is currently serving on the Boards of the Summit Boosters Association, the Summit Women's Lacrosse Association and the Summit YMCA Seals Parent Organization.  She is actively involved in her children's schools and coaches youth sports in her spare time."
