"In 1980, Dr. Daniel Gaitan attained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi in 1986, followed by his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine in 1989. Dr. Gaitan's passion for Endocrinology and Diabetes led him to Vanderbilt University, where he completed his Fellowship in 1993. Dr. Gaitan is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. 

Additionally, Dr. Gaitan is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Gaitan is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and the American College of Physicians. He holds the academic position of Clinical Associate Professor at Washington University School of Medicine. Since 2001, he has been selected for inclusion in the Best Doctors in America and St. Louis Top Docs list. Presently, he is on staff at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Dr. Gaitan has been a resident of St. Louis, Missouri for 27 years.
