Catherine Fussell, MD

"Dr. Catherine Fussell, a south Louisiana native, was born and raised in LaPlace, Louisiana. Through her own health journey and exposure to her grandfather’s family practice, she became interested in a career in medicine. Dr. Fussell received her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. She then returned home to complete her medical education at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. There, Dr. Fussell was a recipient of the Patrick Taylor Foundation scholarship for primary care. Dr. Fussell completed her residency at LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency in Bogalusa, LA where she served as chief resident. She and her husband Brad, a native of Covington, recently became parents to a baby girl.
