"Dr. Motiwala is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds an active Psychiatry license in Georgia and Oklahoma. She received her medical degree from the University of Seychelles, American Institute of Medicine, and went on to complete a General Adult Psychiatry Residency at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, OK and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at The University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. After competing her education, Dr. Motiwala worked with patients presenting with a variety of mental illnesses and compounding issues. She has worked in crisis intervention centers and inpatient psychiatric hospitals with some of the most ill and highly distressed patients, which has honed her skill set and ensured an ability to quickly and efficiently diagnose a variety of mental conditions. Dr. Motiwala has also worked in outpatient settings with diverse clientele and is excited to bring her unique skill set and experience to the patients at Concierge Psychology & Psychiatry. Dr. Motiwala values being able to spend adequate time in her appointments with her patients, to ensure that she understands the myriad of stressors that may be impacting their experience, as well as understanding their various strengths and protective factors. She believes in treating the whole person, and not simply a diagnosis, and utilizes extended sessions, laboratory testing when appropriate, and consultation with patients’ other providers in order to ensure the most thorough treatment and most positive outcome."
