"Welcome to Thurmond Eye Associates, where for more than 50 years, our dedication and focus on leading edge technology and advanced surgical techniques has been surpassed only by our commitment to quality patient care.

Since Dr. Jack Thurmond first founded our practice in 1962, our focus has been to help patients enjoy a lifetime of the best possible vision. After establishing our first eye center in Weslaco, we have opened additional Thurmond Eye Associates locations in McAllen, Mission, Harlingen, Edinburg, and Rio Grande City. This gives our patients convenient access to the same high quality comprehensive eye care found in the leading medical centers across the country.

Today, we are proud to once again set the standard in cataract care with the introduction of our LenSx Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery system. When combined with our state-of-the-art cataract lens implants and the safety, comfort, convenience and cost-saving of out-patient cataract surgery, we feel Thurmond Eye Associates stands unsurpassed in our efforts to preserve, protect and restore your precious gift of sight! Our state-of-the-art LASIK suite at the South Texas Laser Center in Edinburg features next-generation Wavelight lasers capable of restoring your vision in under 10 seconds."
