He has maintained a record of excellence in the Nationally Required Cytology Proficiency Testing by College of American Pathologists (CAP) and American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). Dr. Gates completed a five year, general pathology and laboratory medicine training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
