Karin Wells Young, MD

"Dr. Young is board certified in family medicine. She received her medical training at LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. After an internship in General Surgery in New York City, she went on to serve in the Navy as a medical officer for the next four years. During those four years, she had the opportunity to serve in North Carolina, Washington DC, and also was deployed in Kosovo for a short period. On separating from the Navy, Dr. Young worked in North Carolina in an Emergency Room for a year, then moved to Redding, California to enter a residency in Family Medicine. She and her family lived in Redding for the next 7 years. Dr. Young moved to Arroyo Grande, California with her family in 2008. She is now excited to build her own practice and a life here with her family."
